We are often asked by couples, what the vintage looking footage is in some of wedding videos. It is shot on an old film camera called super 8. Super 8 footage is one of the most popular additions couples add to their wedding videography package with us. We typically film 1-3 rolls of super 8 film on a wedding day. Once the film is developed and digitalized, we edit it into the highlights video with the HD footage to add an awesome character and texture to the wedding film. We absolutely love filming super 8 wedding videos! This setting at a family farm in Glencoe, MN was the perfect setting for filming super 8 film! We had a blast filming this super 8 video at Bill’s on Broadway vintage clothing store in Boise, ID. It’s always a blast to create a super 8 film and it was so fun to work with Erik and Jeff at Bill’s on Broadway. Looking forward to more super 8 film projects like this in the future!

Happy anniversary to Jenna & Michael! Last summer we filmed their amazing wedding at Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in Milwaukee, WI. It was such a beautiful day. With a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan, unbelievable gardens, and amazing architecture, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is unlike any other wedding venue in the midwest. We filmed a roll of super 8 film during their wedding day and it blended really well with the vibe of the wedding and elegant venue. We always enjoy traveling to film a destination wedding and hope to film at Villa Terrace again sometime. Please enjoy their super 8 wedding highlights video below!

Last January, I took a solo road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway in California from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I had visited California dozens of times but never driven up the PCH. I was amazed at how beautiful the drive was. I stopped to surf at picturesque beaches, hike quiet trails in the mountains, and pulled off the road for breathtaking views. I shot a lot of super 8 footage along the way and put together this short travel montage video. I can’t wait for the opportunity to do the drive again.

Our friend Kenji started The Shui Project a little over a year ago. He has put on community meals and catered events around the Twin Cities. We can’t wait to see how the project continue to grow! Here are some photos from a recent event in St. Paul at The Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center. We produced some short promotional videos for him that will be released soon with his new website!
